An Ode To Auteur
Auteur Skincare is a rare find. The German brand launched two years ago with the vision to create performance-driven products with the most innovative, efficacious ingredients available, with no concern for budget.
Everyone who knows me knows I’m a science nerd, and Auteur immediately drew me in with the craziest list of technologically-advanced ingredients.
As soon as I tried the products, I was sold.
These complex formulas simultaneously improve a multitude of cellular functions, but most importantly, create change you can see and feel.
The results speak for themselves.
Auteur’s determination to develop transformative products didn’t stop there. The brand also prides itself on their ecological responsibility and sustainability, utilizing ECOCERT ingredients and biotechnology alongside naturally-derived compounds. The elegant glass packaging is both recyclable and refillable.
I’m completely converted to their products and brand philosophy. Of the hundred or so ingredients they use to provide accelerated results, here is a sprinkling of some of my favorites:
- X50 Photoglow – This next-gen peptide uses seaweed extract to transform light into cellular energy (hi, photosynthesis?) to create ATP and enhance collagen and elastin production. You can find it in the Definitive Lifting Toner.
- LIFTISS®️ – Sustainably derived from extract from fruit of the baobab tree in Burkina Faso, LIFTISS®️ both tightens and plumps the skin. It also helps improve water flow to refine and sharpen facial features. LIFTISS®️ is in the Definitive Line Serum.
- Ectoin – This stress-protecting amino acid is also known as an “extremolyte”. Found in microorganisms in extreme environments, it forms a stabilizing hydration shell around biomolecules, where it can act as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, protecting and reversing damage from pollution, UV and temperature exposure. It is vegan and ECOCERT, and featured in Composition No. 1 and Definitive Enzyme Cleanser.
- Perfluorocomplex – A combination of three perfluorocarbons, this oxygen carrier accelerates the delivery of oxygen directly into the skin, where it supports cell regeneration and rejuvenation. Auteur devotes 10% of the formula of Composition No. 1 to their cutting-edge Perfluorocomplex.
