We cut and color and style our hair to tell others who we are, and to make ourselves believe it. When we start losing our hair it can feel debilitating and we go to great lengths to protect it. When we’re in need of some R&R, we turn to professionals or loved ones to scratch and massage our heads, to feel the comfort of being cared for.

La Bonne Brosse

The world of French luxury hairbrush manufacturing has its roots in the Jura and Oise valleys and was created in response to the needs of the European royal courts. Hairbrush making flourished until the beginning of the 20th century when the arrival of cheaper brushes, made mainly from plastics and other petrochemical derivatives, heralded its downfall.  The historical know-how from this once flourishing industry is at the heart of La Bonne Brosse’s story and how they are playing a role in actively reviving it.

Beauty industry veterans Flore des Robert and Pauline Laurent developed La Bonne Brosse with a definite vision. After many years of research on hair and the scalp, they worked with the finest French brushmakers to develop a series of brushes and combs, specific to hair and scalp conditions. By using the right brush for your hair and scalp, with a dedicated routine, the most unruly, tired and dull hair can be invigorated and restored.

The handles are made of a sustainable and biodegradable cellulose acetate derived from cotton and wood beads instead of petrochemicals. The brush bristles are either boar (100% keratin, like human hair) or a vegan-friendly nylon, with epoxy micro beads laid by hand on the tip of each bristle. Finally, the cushion is made from natural rubber, providing perfect bounce and contour to the unique curves of your head and neck. This level of quality and care is evident with each brush stroke. 

Iles Formula

Originally formulated by internationally acclaimed celebrity hairstylist Wendy Iles, for her private use as an antidote to the tortured hair she frequently encountered when working with her high-demand clients, Iles Formula was born. The collection of clinically tested, proprietary formulas address hair repair, breakage and hair loss, and phenomenally nurture all hair types.

The collection of award winning, high-performance formulas repair all hair types without depositing harmful residues; protein, keratin, bond builders, or peptides. They are clinically proven to stop hair breakage from the first application and improve hair growth.

The Signature Collection consists of three essentials – Shampoo, Conditioner and Finishing Serum. The formulas are based in Polymnia sonchifolia root juice, a potent prebiotic with moisturizing capabilities. The Shampoo improves porosity, The Conditioner closes the cuticle and The Finishing Serum protects against heat damage, UV rays, color fading and humidity, and can be used on wet and dry hair to protect and restore.
