Do A Little More
April is all about showers, sooooo… let’s talk about The Everything Shower, RNY style. Think of it as spring cleaning, but for your bod!
The Prep:
If you want to do something right, preparation is key. We’re gonna start with Baby Foot – you know, the exfoliating foot mask that makes all the dead skin peel off in sheets (gross) and leaves you with soft, smooth baby feet. It takes about 20 minutes, so while your feet are marinating, it’s the perfect time to hit that dome with the scalp horn. Really luxuriate in the head massage, stimulate blood flow and relax your head fascia to open up your face.
The Shower:
Once the Baby Foot timer you’ve set dings, it’s time to hop in the shower. Let your feet soak in a couple inches of water (this helps the skin shed more evenly) while you shampoo and condition with Iles Formula. Leave that conditioner in and secure your hair with a claw clip to get it off your skin. Now is when you scoop a big handful of Costa Brazil Body Scrub out of the jar and rub it all over your limbs and abdomen. Rinse it off and lather up with C.O. Bigelow shaving foam and glide your razor wherever you’d like for silky smooth skin. For the final cleanse, wet your cotton washcloth (are you Tekla or Dusen & Dusen?) and add a few pumps of Commune body wash. Don’t forget behind your ears! Let down your hair and rinse everything off together. I like to wash my face last to remove any conditioner remnants and finish with a cold(er) blast to make my hair shiny.
The Finishing Touch:
Wrap your hair up in the Crown Affair towel you hung conveniently nearby, and wrap yourself in your bath sheet (which either power clashes or perfectly matches your washcloth, of course, there are only two options). Step out of the shower onto your plush bath mat and apply your skincare. Apply your Iles Formula Finishing Serum and comb it through with your La Bonne Brosse wide tooth comb – no hair breakage here! Slather your clean and smooth skin with Adipeau Strength Gel for firmness or Costa Brazil Kaya Oiland Body Cream for scent, slip into your jammies and call it a night. Zzzzz 😴
